Last year's winner Captain Brown races off the same mark but was one of a number of these to finish behind Baby Jake here last month. Jimmy Moffatt's other runners, Smart Ruler and Fantasy King, were third and eighth respectively but WISTY was only a length-and-a-quarter behind Shark Hanlon's raider and he may well turn the tables on 2lb better terms. Winterlude is an interesting runner as he was useful on the Flat and has improved with experience over hurdles, beating a previous winner a shade cosily at Bangor despite taking a keen hold.
