In depth

Verdict

Artane Boys may improve enough to open his account over dual-purpose performer Michaels Dream and Kristineau. Artane Boys would have surely been in need of the run when third on his British debut at Uttoxeter 18 days ago, but the fact that he was sent off favourite despite an absence of 10 months suggests that he will not be long in getting the losses back. He did not run too badly at Uttoxeter, taking it up in the straight but tiring when passed and then making a slight mistake at the last. He was costly to follow in Ireland but can improve with that run under his belt. Michaels Dream was a fair fourth at Hexham in May and has been ticking over on the Flat since. He always seems to find one to beat him though, while Kristineau falls into the same category. Kelly will strip fitter for this belated return, and Artane Boys should get the losses back.
