In depth

Verdict

A trappy contest gets proceedings underway but the main protagonists look to be Mr Preacher Man, Alloveragain and Clear The Way and the vote is given to Mr Preacher Man. The selection was a fair fourth behind Brikies Mate last time out. That form sets the standard and as he is sure to have come on for his latest run he looks the one to be on. Alloveragain rates the main danger on his latest sixth behind Quicuyo. He looks sure to appreciate this much longer trip and with his yard in form he should be watched in the market. Clear The Way won well a couple of starts ago and then was fifth behind Souffler. However that form has since been let down and he looks opposable on that basis. General Ledger won a bumper when last seen beating Brook No Argument. He looks sure to improve for this longer trip but his best form is on soft ground and he is taken on with this in mind. Of the remainder Humbel Origins ran with promise in points and with his small yard in form he could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Mr Preacher Man who is taken to put his experience to good use.
