In depth

Verdict

A small field to start with and despite the good form of the Mark Johnston yard, Sutter's Fort has to get the vote ahead of Less Of A Mystery. The selection put up an excellent effort on debut at Sandown, when just held by Bentley's Ball over the minimum trip and a reproduction of that effort should see Sheikh Mohammed's charge comfortably home here. If for any reason he fails to produce his running, then Less Of A Mystery is likely to be the one to take advantage. The Red Ransom colt has had just one start to date, when fourth of six at Hamilton on good to soft. He should benefit from both that outing and the faster ground here and an improved effort is anticipated. Oddsmaker has plenty to find on his Windsor debut effort and should be battling for third place with newcomer Rutters Rebel, and it will be a surprise if anything is good enough to topple the selection, Sutter's Fort.
