Verdict

Few stables have their runners in better form than Sir Mark Prescott right now so it is probably too early to be writing off Rock Relief after a below par effort at Kempton earlier this month but a better bet looks to be BAJAN PRIDE, who gets the verdict ahead of Applaude. Richard Guest's gelding won well at Hamilton recently but a 6lb penalty for that win makes this more difficult so he may have to settle for minor honours on this occasion. The Michael Mullineaux-trained Chicamia only won by a neck here last month so a 2lb rise for that win does not looks too hefty and he has to be considered as does Micky Hammond's Avitus, who was not beaten far by King's Counsel at Redcar at the beginning of the month. The vote though goes the way of Richard Fahey's Bajan Pride, who has been running consistently well in recent starts and he can go one better than at Newbury last month on his most recent start.
