In depth

Verdict

Edgar Allen Poe has enjoyed a splendid season but the last two runs suggest the handicapper may now have his measure. He cannot be discounted though, whilst ROAR needs to be forgiven a very poor latest run at York as he'd looked on the upgrade when scoring over course and distance on the soft. He would be the one to beat if back to the level of that winning performance here and is afforded another chance. Trinity Star returned to winning form recently when scoring with something to spare at Thirsk and has every chance on that evidence, whilst Beechwood Jude isn't ruled out after scoring over course and distance in June and remains open to progress.
