In depth

Verdict

GILSLAND looks a tempting proposition in this Novices' Handicap Chase off his current mark and we'll give Don McCain's runner the selection ahead of the on-form Its Teescomponents and the consistent Primrose Time. Having put in one for his best performances when second in testing conditions at Towcester in a Beginners' Chase last time, the gelding may have to improve again now back in these ranks but off a career low mark has every chance of doing so. Its Teescomponents has won three of his last five starts including a better contest last time. He looks set to give his running again but the handicapper could be starting to get to grips with him. Primrose Time has only found Belam Boy too good on his last two runs and looks fairly enough treated back in this company while Of Course was a winner last time having returned this season with intent but he has a bit of stamina to prove. It's another tough race to judge but off a low looking mark we prefer Gilsland.
