Verdict

A really interesting start to the card and if Recession Proof jumps well then he won't be easy to beat but he has it to prove both over timber and on this ground, so we will take him on with EBONY RIVER. Tony McCoy's mount made a pleasing debut when in the frame in a bumper during the spring and being by Alderbrook there is every chance he will enjoy some cut. He will be well prepared and can go very close. Flinty Bay is proven on soft ground and has some invaluable bumper experience to draw upon. His trainer's string is in great shape and a win would be no shock. Elevenses is not certain to be suited by the ground and may again struggle under his penalty.
