Verdict

Flinty Bay improved over hurdles in the spring and is likely to make his mark over fences. Mac Aeda had the highest rating of these over timber and has a chasing pedigree, as has Cloudy Too who easily beat Eighteen Carat over hurdles at Sedgefield in March and has plenty of scope for improvement. Time For Spring is a points winner and won a competitive handicap hurdle at Sandown in March. He will go close with a clear round but PALACE JESTER, a half-brother to the useful Bakbenscher and from the same family as smart chaser Better Times Ahead, should thrive now tackling the bigger obstacles and gets the vote today.
