In depth

Verdict

The fast-improving Tripti gets the nap vote to complete a quick course and distance double, with African Spur the most likely to chase her home. David Arbuthnot's filly fulfilled the promise she had shown at Thirsk when winning in smart fashion here last time, with EC Too three and a half lengths back in fourth and unlikely to reverse the form on just six pounds better terms. As long as the ground did not come up really soft, which she has yet to prove hereself on, it is hard to see anything beating her in this field. Best of the rest could be African Spur, runner-up at Catterick before facing a stiff task from a high draw at Chester last time.Somethingabouther caught a real tartar when third to Night Prospector in maiden company at Folkestone last time and will be a lot more at home in this company.
