Verdict

Groundnut didn’t appear to get home over this trip at Sandown last time but that is a much stiffer track than this and Jonny Portman’s charge shouldn’t be written off just yet. Pompey Chimes caught the eye when fifth on debut at Sandown but TESORINA is also a likely improver. Bill Knight’s filly was very green at Lingfield earlier this month but kept on nicely once the penny dropped and Silvestre De Sousa takes over the reins here. Mark Johnston’s juveniles usually know their job and Poetic Affair is a half-brother to five winners, including the Group 2 winner Sri Putra, though has no fancy entries.
