In depth

Verdict

In a wide open finale the speculative vote goes to Cloann, with Soft Focus and Speedy Rossini also capable of going close. This daughter of Danetime hit winning form at this time last year and his hinted recently that she is ready to returning to her best. She ran with twice in three days earlier this month and if those exertions haven't taken their toll she should be there or thereabouts this afternoon. Soft Focus didn't do too well on her only other run on the turf but has been performing with credit on the all-weather and still looks on a decent mark. Speedy Rossini has also been in good heart on the artificial surfaces and if transferring that form back to turf he would be a threat to all. The rest of the field can also be given some sort of chance and so wagers should be kept small, but Cloann has a little more going for her than the rest and gets the verdict.
