The seller can go to Best Before, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Jamaaron and Port d'Argent. The selection has a clear chance on official ratings and a very good chance if getting back to the level of form that saw him finish second off a mark of 74 in a Newmarket handicap last summer. He also acted on this track on his only previous visit, which was on his racecourse debut. Much as he has failed to build on his Goodwood maiden win last year, Jamaaron has been keeping better company than this since then, so has to be afforded respect, while Port d'Argent has shown enough in just five runs to suggest that the trip down from Yorkshire is not one that connections are looking to waste. On official ratings - not always the most reliable guide in these types of event - the others have a bit to find, which returns us to the selection, which is Best Before.
