Verdict

In the opener, the vote goes to Red Emerald ahead of Charlie Delta and Baytown Lulu. Red Emerald has yet to build on her soft-ground debut win but she has finished behind some fair performers along the way and, at this low grade, has to come firmly into the picture. As such, she might prove the one to beat. Saxon Saint was only beaten a length when fifth in a Leicester claimer last time, and this extra furlong should help tonight. Bear him in mind. Charlie Delta ran well reasonably well over course and distance last time and might fare better at this lower level. Finally, Endless Chimes was very green on her debut and could improve while Baytown Lulu was just ahead of Saxon Saint at Leicester and is marginally better off at the weights. Overall, though, in a race where the betting should be watched with interest, the vote goes to Red Emerald.
