Verdict

A wide-open affair but it could pay to concentrate on the best recent form. Chosen Character is in fine fettle but bids for a four-timer off a 4lb higher mark upped in class. GREAT SHOT moves in the opposite direction as he finished a close-up fourth behind Redvers in better company at Ascot last time and should make another bold bid. Rossetti only won a claimer at Salisbury last time but this isn't much tougher although Fire King is facing a more difficult task having won an amateur event at the same meeting. Those with the past form to get involved include Xinbama and C&D winner Methayel.
