    Verdict

    Mostarsil has gone from strength to strength but may struggle with ten stone six on his back and so preference is for Girardii, Icannshift may do best of the others. Roger Charlton's three-year-old has a very impressive pedigree and is steadily coming to hand. He handled this tricky circuit when chasing home Song last month over a mile and two. He should be a much better horse over today's distance and is a confident selection. Mostarsil made it three in a row when a comfortable winner over course and distance last time and has to be a threat despite his welter burden. Meanwhile Icannshift comes into the argument on a recent second behind Rose Bien at Folkestone. Lucky Lark makes the long journey down from Middleham and looks the pick of the others, but our idea of the winner is Girardii.
