    Verdict

Peggys Flower is the one to beat in the opener, with Just Dust, Fair 'n Square and Hester Brook not completely out of things. Peggys Flower showed plenty of tenacity when holding on to beat Mrs Crossy in a Windsor seller a fortnight ago, and as she does not have a great deal more to do here, is taken to give in-form Ryan Moore another winner, with conditions in her favour. Just Dust hails from a stable that knows the time of day with its juveniles at this level, but he seemed not to stay when tried over six furlongs at Chepstow last time, and has to give weight away all round. In contrast, Fair 'n Square has least weight of all and bids to follow up a recent success over slightly shorter on this track, and can give another good account without quite being up to the task. Hester Brook ran well enough at Warwick to be considered as well, but our vote goes to Peggys Flower.
