Verdict

The day's feature has attracted a decent entry including last year's runner-up Pick A Little, who races off a 9lb lower mark. Mark Johnston has won this three times in the last eight years and saddles Freight Train, who can race off the same mark as when just beaten in a big field at Goodwood last week, Surewecan and Ravenhoe. The latter is also holding his form well and looks a danger to all but we just prefer fellow three-year-old WIMPOLE HALL (NAP). Willie Jarvis' colt gets on well with the champion jockey and he ran a cracker at Sandown off this mark last month. Big Chill and Mezzotint could sneak into the frame but Intrude is better on the all-weather. Pacolita may prove best of the six course winners in the line-up.
