In depth

Verdict

Unique Moment is particularly well weighted here and can take this claimer from Oldenway and Fort Churchill. Unique Moment comes from the in-form Mark Johnston yard and won a similar contest when rated 5lb higher at Hamilton last time over 1m 3f. She handles this ground well and would have to give most of these weight in a handicap so she gets the vote to take advantage. Oldenway was three and a half lengths adrift of the selection at Hamilton and the pair meet on the same terms here, so there is no reason to think that the result will be any different. Fort Churchill gets every yard of this trip and more but is 'wrong' with the aforementioned pair on official ratings and is not red hot at the moment, so may be one for the frame here, while Whaleef is rated 70 but don't get carried away with that if his form over the sticks of late is anything to go by and he has a bit to prove. But Unique Moment has ticks in all the right boxes and can score.
