    Verdict

Clive Cox has his string in good form and, from a decent draw, his representative Cuppacocoa is taken to defy the 6lb penalty incurred for his win at Bath last week and score at the main expense of Jack Rackham and Sunnyside Tom. The last mentioned is hard to weigh up from a handicapping point of view after just two career starts but will be suited by the fast ground; however, he has been done few favours with a draw in stall two so looks best watched. Now Look Out has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this fast, while Russian Silk was well held off today's mark when last seen. Durova has the pick of the draw but has been well held in both starts this term so is hard to recommend, while My Drop has only raced on the all-weather so far. Jack Rackham could be of interest on his first start in a handicap but the Thirsk maiden winner does not look to be particularly well treated and preference is for the in-form Cuppacocoa.
