Verdict

John McConnell won this last year and hurdling newcomer Maricruz won on the Flat at Navan last month. Effernock Fizz has also been in winning form on the level and over hurdles and ran a cracking race at the Curragh on Friday. Triple bumper winner Carrie Des Champs hasn't been highly tried over hurdles and had very little to beat at Southwell last time but HAVINGAGOODTIME found 2m4f stretching her stamina at Killarney. Henry De Bromhead's filly had previously won easily at Cheltenham and Down Royal and can return to winning ways here, though Caer is improving rapidly and was impressive enough at Sligo to give the selection a race.
