In depth

Verdict

A poor seller here buts something has to win and the principals look to be Sad Times, Hester Brook and Canitque and the narrow vote is given to the last named. The selection was a fair fifth behind Champagne Shadow in a claimer last time out. This looks easier and under conditions that suit he looks a value bet. Sad Times rates the main danger on his latest third behind Joint Expectations. He is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and is taken on with this in mind. Hester Brook is another that could go well on his best form he would not mind any rain and with his yard in form he could go well at a price. Alloro is another that could go well at a price but he has shown little of late so can not be put forward with any confidence. This is a desperate affair and stakes should be kept to the minimum and the token vote is given to Canitque.
