    In depth

    Verdict

Mexican Bob gets the call over Prince Zafonic, with Bring It On Home worth a small mention. The final race on the card is for amateur riders, and gives Charlie Huxley the chance to ride another winner for Alan King, after his win aboard Daryal for the stable 11-days ago. Mexican Bob lines up with leading claims as well, having finished a good second at Haydock on the level before occupying the same spot over hurdles next time. The Haydock form has been boosted since by the third Rawdon, and so Mexican Bob must go well. Prince Zafonic has yet to get his head in front, either on the Flat or over hurdles, but has run well enough to be considered a threat to the selection, while of the remainder, Bring It On Home might have a bit of scope at the age of three. Mexican Bob is the one to beat.
