Verdict

The fitting of a first-time visor can help Sterope to get off the mark and she is selected ahead of Dubai Petal and Mission Control. The last named has run respectably in handicaps after winning a maiden on the all-weather in March - creating the impression that a race of this nature is well within his capabilities. Jim Boyle's charge is an interesting one to not in the betting. Dubai Petal stays this trip well and, having gone close at Nottingham last time, she arrives here in good from. The ground is not an issue with the daughter of Dubai Destination and she cannot confidently be ruled out. However, Sterope has been crying out for a try over this sort of distance and, as she is less exposed than the rest, it is Henry Cecil's charge that makes the most appeal in a modest start to tonight's action at Bath.
