    Verdict

Aakef, Burma Rock, Hajoum and Leahurst all hold entries in Group races over forthcoming months and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of their respective chances. Hajoum is the suggestion. He is a half-brother to the speedy juvenile Swiss Lake and was made favourite for his debut on heavy ground at York last month. He wasn't beaten far, should be suited by a better surface and come on for the experience so gets the nod. Aakef chased home Saucy Brown on debut before failing to land a blow in the Windsor Castle. He's better than he showed there and may be able to show that this afternoon. Eagles Call didn't fare badly on debut but lacks the lofty ambitions of his rivals and may find this too competitive. Burma Rock is clearly of interest given his Royal Lodge entry but Leahurst appeals as a more obvious candidate for juvenile honours and the half-brother to Dunelight hails from a yard whose youngsters have been in red hot form. This should prove to be an informative heat and Hajoum could not be a confident selection.
