Verdict

The well-berthed SPANISH STAR (NAP) starts off the new campaign on a generous-looking mark. He’s not managed a win in 16 starts but went close a couple of times last year on fast ground when racing off higher marks. Alfie's Angel has dropped 3lb since last year and is another feasibly treated, though would have preferred some give. Dual course and distance winner Coronation Cottage was back on-song at Windsor last week but has collected a penalty and has the worst of the draw while Fareeq is something of an all-weather specialist. David's Beauty is only a pound higher than when second here in October but is another drawn out wide.
