In depth

Verdict

BLUE SUEDE should be up to winning a race like this. She's been placed in all three starts to date on Turf and was only beaten half-a-length last time at Sandown. Richard Hannon's filly is rated 6lb higher than the colt Big Lachie, who concedes 5lb and is more exposed. None of the others with experience make much appeal, though Poetic Principle probably has a bit of scope after just one run. Debutant Jack Blane is a half-brother to a winning miler so may need further.
