In depth

Verdict

Tarkesar gets the confident vote in the finale with Aristi and Secret Glen rating the main dangers. The selection won a Ladies race in good style last time out when beating Compton Eagle. He does have a penalty for that win but the excellent Paddy Merrigan takes the ride here and with the step-up in trip also in his favour he is hard to oppose. Aristi rates the main danger on her best form but she was very disappointing for no apparent reason last time out and she is taken on with this in mind. Secret Glen is another worthy of respect as he won a point in facile fashion last time out. He returns to handicaps off what looks a lenient mark and he should be monitored in the market. Classic Rock is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and we will stick with Tarkesar to lead them home.
