Verdict

A competitive contest gets proceedings underway but something has to win and the principals look to be Tip Toes, Ballinvella Queen and River Tigres and the tentative vote is given to Tip Toes. The selection was a fair second on her debut behind Bauhaus and she looks sure to improve for that outing. This race will not take a great deal of winning and she looks the percentage call. Ballinvella Queen is one of three in the field from the Evan Williams yard and she would have a chance on her best form, but the truth is she has not progressed as expected of late and she is taken on with this in mind. River Tigres is another from a top yard and as all her best form is when fresh, today may be the day. Valassini is another with place claims but the suspicion is she may just need the run after a 325-day break. This is a trappy affair but Tip Toes at least has scope for improvement and she can get her head in front.
