Verdict

It might be an original selection but Lunar Crystal will be hard to beat in the quest for his fourth successive victory. Martin Pipe has placed the gelding well and the signs are that he is continuing to improve and should have too many guns for Bodfari Creek. Paul Webber sent out Bodfari Creek to score on his sole outing in a Haydock bumper last term and the horse could be a fair prospect. Lack of an outing and facing nine flights in public for the first time could combine to prove the gelding's undoing. The remainder look outclassed.
