Verdict

Double Windsor has been well beaten in all starts on the Flat and over hurdles, though did show a bit of improvement at Listowel last weekend. Vocal Heir, a winner over a mile at Leopardstown in June, made a decent start over timber at Roscommon last month and should improve as should Meadow Cross for her run at Down Royal. Alan Fleming had four winners at the Listowel Festival last week so his French import Tiliver is worthy of close inspection while Gordon Elliott's yard is gradually coming out of the doldrums and another import from France, Overtures, who is related to numerous winners is one to note. He was trained by Andre Fabre as was LE VAGABOND, a winner at Longchamp in May and given the nod to make a successful start for Edward O'Grady.
