    In depth

    Verdict

Michele Strogoff returns to 7f after just missing out over a mile at Carlisle last week but a couple of these may improve past her. Makkaar won a maiden race at Newmarket in October and could go close but SABADOR was runner-up on his handicap debut at Leicester earlier in the month and Ed Walker’s charge is taken to come out best with further progress expected. Tavener has already won twice this year but in lower grade contests and Russian Realm is preferred dropping down in class for this.
