Verdict

John Quinn's Norton Girl made an encouraging debut when chasing home Breezolini in an auction maiden at Beverley earlier this month and she has every chance of going one better today with the yard in good form but it may be worth siding with Ed McMahon's newcomer IRON RANGE. The trainer does well with his youngsters first time out and the son of Clodovil makes plenty of appeal on breeding so he may be the one to be with. Maverik has earned a rating of 72 and has claims with the yard of Michael Dods among the winners, while Mark Johnston's Marina Belle ran much better at Hamilton last time and has to be considered.
