Verdict

Hebenus is not the most reliable type in the world but he should be good enough to see off Goodbye Mrs Chips, Tancred Arms and Mexican in this class H banded stakes. The selection was a little disappointing last time but will relish the drop in trip and in this easier grade he is taken to score. Goodbye Mrs Chips has been running over hurdles of late but is interesting back on the flat, although she has a largely disappointing profile so is probably best watched on this occasion. Tancred Arms has winning form on this track so has to be respected if she is on a going day, while Mexican is worth a second look on her return to the flat after a spell over hurdles. Most of these are not the most reliable, but Hebenus is nominated as the one to beat in a poor contest.
