Grand View is the confident selection in this class H banded stakes with Redoubtable and Pirlie Hill the others for the shortlist. The selection has had one or two muscular problems according to his trainer John Weymes, but he won well over this trip at Lingfield on Tuesday when defeating Tiny Tim, and he is clearly thought to be capable of notching a quick double now that he is back to his best. Redoubtable is the obvious danger as he is a course and distance winner who has already scored twice on the AW this year in similar events. He will not be far away at the finish and will give our selection the most to do. Pirlie Hill defied his big price to run a cracking race at Hamilton on Monday when third behind Ulysees in a handicap. He is clearly in great heart at present and if the market speaks in his favour it could pay to take the hint. Of the remainder, Joshuas Bay is lightly-raced and ran well on his only other try at this trip so could have place prospects, but Grand View won in good style on Tuesday and should be capable of winning again.
