In depth

Verdict

Bewleys Berry and Villon look to be the leading players here, with the vote going to Bewleys Berry. Having landed a Gowran Park bumper, Bewleys Berry was then acquired by Anthea and Graham Wylie. He scored at the first time of asking for them last time when making his hurdling debut and we take him to confirm that good view and score again. Villon also scored well on his hurdling debut and, being well regarded by his trainer, commands the utmost respect. Aberdare's form is reasonable enough and he holds place claims, along with Jethro Tull, who showed some promise here last time, as did Overserve at Kelso, and the form of that race could by now have been boosted by Master Sebastian in the opener on the card. Of the others, Polly Whitefoot has shown herself good enough to win a bumper and should show up at this level. To be fair, the others have a bit to prove and the first two mentioned both hold solid claims in this race, with the vote going to Bewleys Berry.
