An interesting clash between Brooklyn Breeze, Seasquill and Our Armageddon, with preference for the latter. Our Armageddon has fitness on his side, having opened his account over fences at Fakenham last time. He did not beat much, but the manner of his success had Richard Guest dreaming of the Arkle at Cheltenham. This six-year-old, who was useful over hurdles, may not quite reach those heights, but is sure to hold his own in decent company this season. He does have a fitness edge over Brooklyn Breeze who was unbeaten in three starts over the smaller obstacles, and who is also very highly rated by connections. This duo could well clash on a few more occasions this term as they boast a similar profile. Ferdy Murphy has his team in good shape thanks to his new all-weather gallop, and Seasquill is another who can pay to follow. He was nowhere near as good as the other two over hurdles, but was good enough to contest the Caulfield Cup on the Flat in Australia. Reportedly a very good jumper of fences at home, his second to Another Joker at Haydock may be a platform for better things to come. However, on this occasion, he will probably come off third best, with Our Armageddon set to make his fitness count.
