Bongo Fury looks the percentage call in this valuable contest with De Blanc and Dancing Pearl providing the stoutest opposition. Second to Essex in the Tote Gold Trophy, one couldn't help but be a little disappointed by her run in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham. That was possibly an off day for her and with Martin Pipe's team troubling the judge again, she unquestionably has the best form coming in to this and Tom Malone's five pound claim will be invaluable. De Blanc has been expertly campaigned by Venetia Williams. The daughter of Revoque now enjoys a very healthy pull at the weights with Bongo Fury vis-a-vis their Doncaster meeting and if she has no ill effects from her fall at Newbury, she can give the selection plenty to think about. Dancing Pearl finished infront of Bongo Fury at Cheltenham but hasn't done so when it matters. Likely to be ridden prominently here, she is a credit to her connections. Prarie Moonlight was turned over at this course when odds-on for a novice hurdle on soft going. She will need to improve her jumping in order to reverse form with Bongo Fury. Reseda ran a dreadful race at Doncaster and caution is advised on this occasion. Mags Benefit's best form is in very soft ground in Ireland while Baby Gee and River Alder have shown little worthwhile form this season. A substantial prize for this contest and Martin Pipe can make off with it with Bongo Fury.
