An early start and Tony McCoy's presence aboard Master Mahogany looks too good to ignore and we shall select the combination ahead of Darrias and Two Of Clubs. Master Mahogany lost no caste in defeat to Foodbroker Founder over course and distance in February and while connections have not been in any hurry to break his duck over hurdles, it is difficult to envisage anything in this field being particularly out of the ordinary. Darrias shaped well on his first start in this country behind stablemate Cerium. His subsequent run at Chepstow was not quite so hot and was disappointing given that it was against weaker opposition. Two Of Clubs sets the benchmark for the contest from a formbook perspective. He is rated 97 and is plenty enough exposed. He should be capable of forcing a place if others are not up to the task. Killindini was not completely unfancied before his hurdling bow last October. It is something of a concern that six months have passed before we have seen him again. Of the remainder, Text could be something of a surprise package. He ran relatively well in a series of mediocre maidens on the flat. He can be forgiven a poor run on soft ground on his hurdling debut and should be a working man's price. Of the remainder, Bonjour Bond had some middle distance form to his name but two miles is likely (on breeding at least) to stretch his stamina. Not a strong race which should on all known form be there for Master Mahogany's taking.
