In depth

Verdict

Bumper winner VERTIGO posted his best effort over hurdles so far when stepped up to today’s trip here in January. Lucinda Russell’s charge finished runner-up to Strong Economy, rated 117, and has little to fear from today's modest opposition on that form. Gentleman James was already beaten when falling at Kelso last time and Short Flight has yet to figure over timber. Notnow Seamus has been placed in a bumper but goes hurdling for the first time today along with Mullaghboy.
