In depth

Verdict

A modest affair but Sir Mark Prescott is a renowned master at stepping charges up in trip to elicit considerable improvement and CRITICAL POINT could prove another example of that skill. The Pivotal gelding showed little until improving notably last time and could be thrown in off bottomweight if responding to the increase in trip. Luctor Emergo has shown enough the last twice over a mile and a mile and a half to suggest that this intermediate trip could prove ideal, although the yard's current form remains a concern. Schmooze has fair form but has never been further than a mile before and her best has come on quicker ground. Uncle Brit, suited by trip and ground, looks best of the older brigade.
