Verdict

With no public form to go on, Programme Girl is only a cautious selection ahead of Modicum and Asrar. Alan Swinbank has had a good season on the Flat and should be followed over the winter, and with Tony Dobbin booked to ride, Progarmme Girl, a half-sister to a winning miler in Italy, may be good enough first time. Modicum is by Chester House out of a Nashwan mare so is well-bred and carries the pink colours of Duncan Davidson who may have purchased another little money-spinner for his daughter Rose to ride. Any money for that one should be noted, while the other filly in the line-up Asrar is also worth a mention at least, being a daughter of King's Theatre. Bets are definitely best kept on the small side in the finale, in which Programme Girl is the pick.
