Verdict

Not the ideal getting out stakes for punters and WOOTTON VALE is only a speculative choice off the bottom perch. He showed little in three maiden contests in his juvenile campaign but those runs came in decent company and he wouldn't have had to make much progress from two to three to be competitive in such a modest affair. Lady Cordie's 33/1 success here last time seemed to come out of nowhere as she'd shown little previously but a repeat effort would obviously see her involved. But the main threat may come from Fine Example as he's not been beaten far the last twice and should have some progress to offer after just six starts.
