Verdict

TORONADO was highly impressive on his debut at Newbury and the son of High Chapparal will prove a tough nut to crack if he can run up to the level of that form. Arthurs Secret represents relatively unfashionable connections though he lines up after spread-eagling the field in a maiden at Beverley. The stable had a useful juvenile in Red Duke last year and he could be more of the same. Despite fly-leaping at the stalls and jumping the finish line, Verdane still prevailed in a Salisbury maiden on debut and Ryan Moore looks an interesting booking aboard David Evans' colt. Letstalkaboutmoney was narrowly held in what appeared to be a strong Haydock maiden, although the first and third were subsequently well held in the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket.
