Verdict

This is not an easy start for punters but Sunset Glow must go on the short-list given Wesley Ward has already had a winner and a fourth with his two-year-olds at the meeting. The extra furlong might be a problem for the Belmont winner however. Patience Alexander but Wednesday's Queen Mary runner-up Tiggy Wiggy and Appleberry in a Listed race over 5f at York but is another who is unproven over this longer trip. Peace And War won his maiden on the Polytrack but Effusive is interesting as she can only improve on her defeat of the useful Free Entry at Carlisle. Godolphin could hold the key to this with Charlie Appleby's BITTER LAKE preferred to Saeed bin Suroor's Elite Gardens. Both won on their respective debuts over 6f at Newmarket but the former was the most impressive. Bond's Girl overturned the odds-on Kasb at Pontefract last time and could be best of the rest.
