    Verdict

The only handicap on today's card looks wide-open. Sir Michael Stoute has won two of the last five renewals, however, and has trained the winner on five occasions since 1999 so KINGS FETE is very interesting after a pipe-opener at Goodwood, where he wasn't given a hard time. Elite Army has been lightly raced since winning the King George V Stakes here two years ago but beat Missed Call in a Listed race on his return to action over track and trip last month and has a touch of class. Ivan Grozny was in good form over hurdles in the spring for Willie Mullins while Ajman Bridge was second in this last year, though is 4lb higher and was a little disappointing behind John Reel on his reappearance at Newmarket. The lightly-raced Fabricate runs in The Queen's colours and is sure to be popular but supporters should also get a run for their money from the well-drawn Notarised. He stays further than this and should get a good tow into the race. On ground that suits, he can reverse Goodwood form with Kinema. First Sitting won easily at Windsor but this is a lot tougher.
