    Verdict

A typically open sprint that is difficult to confidently narrow down to just one selection for win only purposes. However, Ringmoor Down wasn't showing any signs of stopping when getting the better of Seel Of Approval at Newbury at the start of this month and although there was a consensus that the runner up was unlucky on that occasion, Ringmoor Down was too strong on the day and she may well prevail again with similar tactics employed today. The daughter of Pivotal has the Silver Cup at Goodwood as her next immediate target and a victory here would virtually ensure her of a run after reassessment. Expect her to swoop late and fast to nail her rivals near the finish. Marsad and Idle Power are both capable of running the selection close if the gaps appear and are others to consider for the places. Whilst support for Vindication can almost be guaranteed with her stable in such good form at the moment. Profiteer is another who has the ability to go well but he looks to have his share of temperament and is not one to rely upon too heavily. Therefore Ringmoor Down is taken to book her ticket to Sussex with a narrow victory today.
