    In depth

    Verdict

Tinto has gone close the last twice and finished in front of Champion Brogie when runner-up at Bath last week. He’d earlier finished second to the progressive Probability which gives him the beating of Welcoming, Fly The Nest and Walkman on collateral form. But MOTAGALLY finished in front of Probability when third at Lingfield on last month’s handicap debut and a bold bid is expected from Charlie Hills’ colt in an open contest. Amplify has slipped down the weights and could figure but novice winner Shorter Skirt will find this tougher. Swindler, Aplomb and Phosphor are all potential improvers now handicapping for the first time and worth noting.
