Andrew Balding’s charge can come out best today as Gurkha Friend is probably best running around a bend given he’s best at Ripon and has also won at Pontefract and Carlisle. Silver Quartz has lost his way and Examiner has been off the track since breaking a blood vessel and pulling up at Newmarket in May. Yuften might need this but did win over track and trip off a higher mark in 2016.
