Verdict

You're Hired made the favourite Fairlight pull out all the stops at Brighton last month and will be fancied to end his losing run but What A Welcome has enjoyed a fantastic season and has now only tasted defeat once in his last seven starts, though that did come over this course and distance. Last year’s winner Great Hall likes it here and Manjaam has also been successful over track and trip but Emenem is better over shorter distances and Doncaster winner Pirate King was last at Newmarket when odds-on. BARTHOLOMEU DIAS has been far from disgraced over this trip and is slowly slipping down the weights. Jason Watson’s claim here is a further plus and Charlie Hills’ three-year-old should give a good account.
